My three local gun shops are completly sold out of stripped lower recievers and my trusted shop said try online or wait for a gun show. well the gun show isn't for about two months so I decided to look online. I am getting a lower reciever gifted for my birthday from my mother. I was hoping to do this locally but it seems with elections panic buying has taken over. so now im stuck with online, after looking through site sponsors and a few other sites I found a lower of a decent price here its isLRB lower

first off is it good? since PKfirearms is a site sponsor i trust them. but is it in spec etc...?
also what would my mother need to do send it to my local FFL for her to pick it up? I know she will have to do the background check, 4473 etc... would she have to call the local FFL and say that she is shipping a stripped lower to there and wants to buy it?

help please!

It should be good to go. LRB makes the Cadillac of M14/M1A receivers.

I've got an LRB - no complaints here - GTG
Has a nice crossed cannon "springfield armory" style rollmark too!

I like LRB a lot, but that price is about 20$ higher than when wideners reloading carried them a month or so ago. Try Palmetto state armory...79.00 and a similar rollmark.

Unless you go with a billet receiver "lowers is lowers" as the saying goes. Focus on Lpk, barrel and bolts for higher end stuff. Lower are made by like 3 companies for all different brands. Lrb, spikes, stag, psa and bravo are all pretty much the same. Don't get too caught up in the names. Besides, Palmetto makes a lower that is very popular around here.

Did you mean "know their"?

Now, I did buy a pair of Roggio Arsenal lowers from PK back in 2009 (early, peak panic buy time) and they were complete and total crap. However, LRB is an established name and PK has done good by me in all other instances I've bought from them. Buy with confidence.
