I would like to purchase a laser sight, but I dont want a $10 one for an airsoft. I am looking for one that is dependable and bright under $100. Any ideas?

I don't think there is a quality laser out there that cheap.

That is about as cheap as a real, quality laser comes. Crimson Trace is making some around $400, and an ITI M-6 could probably do the job at around the same price.

You can get a "universal laser" for much less, but they are rarely more than an adjustable laser pointer.

You can find an excellent laser in the universal LAS/TAC for not a lot of cash... But it will be more than double your budget.

What part of your training led you to believe you need the laser? Are you using a magnifed optic and need something for up close? Gas mask interfering with sight picture?

+1 on the LAS/TAC. I ordered one from Grant for around $200 including mount. IMHO, it is the least expensive "quality" laser set-up available.

Look HERE.

I just wanted one to play around with. i am not LEO or anything, just a free american excercising my firearms rights, isn't there something in there about customizing your rifle just because? lol....I might go with the universal though. thanks for the link guys.

+1 to the Laser Devices LAS/TAC.

It's a great little rig for the money. I've had a hell of a lot of fun with mine, and I like that it uses Surefire batteries.

I've had it mounted on everything from an M4 to a 12 gauge shotgun, and so far it hasn't let me down.

If you have to stay within your $100.00 budget I would recommend checking this one out:

http://www.lasermate.com/aimer.htm

I purchased it a while ago to put on my pistol and then decided to use it on my M4gery.
It has a pressure pad switch and the rail will mount to a weaver or piticanny rail. It also has 2 led navigation lights. I'm sure it is not anywhere as good as the high dollar ones (you get what you pay for), but I like it and I'll continue to use it until I can afford to upgrade to something better.
I actually was able to mount it right below the FSB on the nub where the bayonet lug would have been. This way it is mounted as close as possible to the barrel.
I paid about $75.00 shipped for it. I can e-mail you pics of it mounted on my ar if you want.
