Hey Jesse, ordered two 24" bull Grendel kits a while back (three months, don't have order # here), any of those rolling in the door lately? Thanks!

Seems I can't count. It was February - 6.5 months. Just want to know if you have been seeing them, just really looking forward to this - not asking for specifics...

We have not seen 6.5 bulls yet, we just started getting in some 5.56 bulls, and just got in a batch of 6.5 16" HBAR's & 7.62x39 16" HBAR's in to start the process.

Jesse,

Could you tell me what barrel options you have for Grendels?

We have 24" bulls ordered but it there is another option we may be interested - I am curious regardless. Thank you!

RWEIII - The only 6.5 barrels that we have available are 20" with gas blocks.

Shaw? What twist? Capable of Sub MOA given the obvious of shooter, load, trigger, etc?

Those are Shaw barrels with a 1x9 twist rate, should be capable of sub MOA groups with the proper conditions that you listed.

Are the barrels stainless, standard or chrome lined ? M4 or standard ramps?

Those are chrome lined with M4 feed ramps, threaded 1/2x36 TPI.

Will the 6.5 Grendel kit fit on a standard lower?

Yes, the only thing that is different is the barrel and bolt, and the 6.5 mags work better than the standard mags with that ammo.

Hi Jesse,

Do you sell complete 6.5 Grendel uppers? If so, is there a link or information available? I could not find it listed on your websight.

Thanks again.

We do offer those, but those are not currently offered online, you would need to call in to order those.

Thanks,

Jesse,

What is the price on a complete 6.5 upper, and any idea of what the wait is?

Thanks again,

mknherhappy - On 6.5's I'm waiting on flash hiders to come in from Alexander, then we should be ready to ship 16" HBAR & 16" CL HBAR uppers. A standard 16" complete upper would run $545, and CL would run $595.

Are all the barrels threaded 1/2x38 or whatever? why not thread them 5/8x24?

Alexander Arms set the specs for the 6.5 Grendels to be 9/16" x 24, so that is what we ran the last batch with, as we had a few complaints with the 1/2x36 that we had ran them in previously. I'm not sure the reasoning that Alexander had for using 9/16" over 5/8".

Any word (thoughts, ideas) about the long heavy barrels?
JTDistributing  [Industry Partner]

My thoughts on them are that they are unwieldy and heavy!

From the last update, they're working on all of our SS bull barrels right now, so 6.5's shouldn't be too much longer out.
