Received update on 3 JUN 09 from Jesse that they are waiting on barrels, trying to get a production schedule, no ETA. Thinking of canceling since in the 6 months I've been waiting I haven't thought to myself, "Scott, I could have really used that 24 inch Bull barreled upper today." If I can't get an updated ETA soon I've got another project I'll redirect the money to. Not faulting JT, I know they are busy and at the mercy of suppliers. Just tired of waiting and I can get my other project complete sooner for the same money.

While I'm no expert and have no affiliation with DSC/JT, it looks like plain jane gets shipped faster than tricked out. I've been watching J&T, Del-Ton and Model 1 and based on threads across the AR15 community, it would seem that they ship what they can when they can. For instance, you order a 16" kit with special free float rails and a fancy stock and I can guarantee you'll be waiting much longer than another customer that ordered a simple basic kit or one with minor changes (i.e. jwalker's Ergo grip). They all say they process orders in the order they are received...which is true if identical orders come in. But these companies aren't (from my piecing it together) getting your order together piece-by-piece and setting it aside until all the parts are there...they may do that with the specialty items you ordered, such as Magpul stocks or Daniel Defense rail systems, but for barrels and LPKs, they are probably going to those orders they can fill today. Why? Because they don't get paid until they ship...so there is an incentive for the companies to process those orders that they can fill. So your 16" barrel from the complicated order in November is going to go to the customer with the basic order placed in April. Or maybe I'm wrong...

Hmmm...I was thinking the same thing but I pretty much ordered a plain Jane kit too but I'm still waiting. I have 3 things different but I wouldn't think they would be major.

Look what Brown brought today...
As usual great quality from JT. This was order#3919, ordered back on January of this year...
This furniture is supposed to be Coyote Brown but the Stock/HG dont match the PG :-(
None of the 2 Coyote Brown shades match Cavalry's Coyote Brown..This is supposed to be my wife's Bday gift so color matching is important...
I went ahead and ordered this. I now have extra furniture parts: Project gun or EE...
Another pic showing the dirrerence a little bit better (it looks a lot different in person)...
Now I need a rear BUIS to complete it...

Arrived 6-12-09 - Everything was as ordered. The only complaint I have is that the front handguard color doesn't match the stock and pistol grip very well. No biggie. I'll edit and post a pic later.
Assembled 6-12-09
- Everything went together great and has function tested fine.
