 What's needed to tighten a Troy barrel nut.......

.......on a TRX rail? Standard AR wrench work or do I have to buy a special wrench? I'm thinking about buying a TRX Extreme. Thanks.

TRX Extreme Battlerail comes with the barrel nut installation tool.

this. the one that came with mine is made for the TRX, so youll have to have a normal barrel nut wrench to take the original off

Yes, you will also need the appropriate tool for the removal of the existing barrel nut.

You need a torque wrench to fit in the little square notch of the tool that comes with it.

My TRX 308 didn't come with a wrench. I was told an standard AR barrel wrench would work. In my case that wasn't quite right. The opening in wrench wouldn't clear the barrel so I ground out a little material from the wrench and it worked. My wrench is one I bought many years ago that will also work on A2 flash suppressors.
