I need an open end TRX barrel nut wrench.
I guess Troy doesn't make these anymore. Anyone know where I can get one? I heard DPMS wrenched will fit it. Anybody know about this?
The TRX barrel nut is different than the standard AR barrel nut. DO NOT use a standard barrel wrench on a TRX barrel nut or you will strip the teeth of the TRX nut. We discontinued the open end dual wrench. The TRX rails ship with a barrel wrench in the box specifically for the TRX barrel nut.
I ended up cutting an opening in the wrench so when I pulled the rail forward, I was able to slide the wrench over the barrel. It makes kinda a "c" shape now.
