It's from the the near end of the buffer tube's thread to the rear of the buffer tube. That 's how long. A tiny bit shorter than the VLTOR original Modstock. Just got one the other day.
Nice and all, in terms of nothing protruding anywhere. But, then, the trade off is that you sacrifice the convenience of quickly removing the stock from the buffer tube. In order to remove the stock, you have to open the back door, stick one finger inside to depress the lever at the same time your other hand is pressing on the take down latch from the outside. Not really a big deal, if you don't swicth stocks around all the time. But, if you do, you'll probably @!$#%!!$!! it.
