I just received a Daniel Defense bolt carrier group and noticed a shallow circle milled on the left hand side of the bolt carrier, in exactly the same spot where Colt stamps a "C" on the bolt carrier.
Can I infer from this that DD are getting their bolt carriers from the same source as Colt?

Other companies besides Colt stamp the same place.
