Is there a bi-pod swivel stud that is compatible with the DD lite rail?
I prefer to mount bi-pods snug to the rail rather than piggy-back a QD mount which usually leaves the gun constantly tipping over on account of weight distribution issues.

This will not work with a Lite rail. If you can find a swivel stud with the same pitch thread as the Omega or Omega X for the screws in the side it's possible. But when you tighten you may bottom out on your barrel. Now your looking at either being loose or if tight your barrel is no longer free floating.

Are the holes in the 7.62 Lite Rail threaded? If so what pitch? I believe the YHM swivel stud is 1/4x20 (Std for camera tripods and the holes in the KAC M4 RAS). Bottoming on the barrel wasn't ever a problem because the threads enter the center of the rail which stands significantly outside the ID of the barrel channel created by the center of the rail.
KAC also made a swivel stud for the FF RAS which has a small square nut that nests inside the square profile channel between the rail and the ID, and a rubber lock washer to prevent the stud from vibrating loose if the bi-pod is not attached. They did that because the FF RAS featured holes that weren't threaded (I believe). They also include the stud in the M110 SASS deployment kit parts box as an alternate method of bipod attachment for people who want a lower, more stable platform than the less streamlined, bolt on RAS adapter they also include with the rifle.
Maybe someone who has a lite rail or who is associated with Daniel Defense knows which (if either) component is compatible.
I first searched the site and found the Daniel Defense doesn't offer a similar accessory component for their rail- at least not one that I could find on their website.
I would like to buy the rail to replace a OEM free float forend that has a bipod swivel stud built in, but I need the rail to be capable of providing the same basic function as the OEM free floating forend.
