New Glass for the EMC
Just picked up a Swarovski Z6i w/ BRT reticle for my EMC
Pics of it on the gun:
The reticle:
It's definitely a sweet scope. Amazing glass, light weight and good illumination. This will be run hard!
Outstanding brother...I'm still sure I'm going with the S&B 1-8 but, that Z6i s very tempting..

With the Z6i - I will be able to do a lot of shooting before the S&B ever releases it!
Seriously though, I got this scope given the type of shooting I plan on doing with my EMC, for that it fits the bill perfectly - especially for the weight. Since I already have a dedicated long range gun with a 3-15 on it, I can use the EMC for more up close and intermediate ranges. The reticle takes my loads out to 600 yards with a 100 yard zero - and I will work up a combination to get out even further. I'm sure something better will come along in the 1-8 range in the future, but if/when that happens I would probably put this on a 18" 5.56 gun.

I definitely see your point..I've been contemplating whether or not I should send my NF 2.5-8x24 back in to get the reticle changed from the FC-2 that I'm currently working with to something tlike he Velocity recticle or NP-1..It's definitely not perfect now, but it works decent enough..I wouldn't have even chosen it from the get go but, I got a smoking deal and couldn't pass it up..

For what it costs to have NF change reticles, not to mention their several month backlog right now - I would just wait for something different. The S&B should be available at the end of the year. I will have the EMC w/ the Z6i at the next CFDCC match you can check out.
Sweet..Neil up at GG has a S&B on order so when they do release it, I already have my name on one..
Well...hopefully my EMC will be ready soon. I am going with the Premier 1-8, so between the 3 of us we should have a pretty good handle on the CQB "glass" market with the 308 platform.
Nice set up by the way EAB!!

They built a few of their 1.1-8's but are redesigning the low end closer to 1x and I also heard they are working on the erector. Not sure what the new ETA for them is.

They are not ready...I talked with Mike with CS Tactical back in mid August and he said they were expecting a batch around the end of September. I dont know if that timeline as been pushed to the right any since we last spoke.

Scratch the Sept. timeline for Premier 1-8. Looks like they are anticipating Dec. now
December of 2018...
I ran the Swaro 1-6 today at the CFDCC match and I must say that I like it a lot. After a couple of stage to get used to it, I think I can say that I found it as fast as an aimpoint on the EMC for the up close work. I am still really impressed with the weight for the capability it gives you. I need to spend some more time at distance, and get used to the reticle in that application, but it is definitely a winner. The optic seems quite rugged, and it gave me no issues with the weather we had today.

And my wallet hates you for letting me fondle your new set up! Don't get too upset if you see one on my EMC in the near future.

That is reassuring, very happy to hear the comparison between a Aimpoint and a 1-6 glass.

I wouldn't get upset at all - as long as I can shoot better than you with it, I'd be fine.

uh yeah, after seeing you run the gun this past weekend at CFDCC, that shouldn't be a problem at all for you..
