After about 600 rounds my RRA trigger has an issue, There is a spring or a little piece of metal that is inside the hammer. It fell out or snapped and got caught in the rest of the trigger causing the gun not to fire. I removed the trigger group and found out that this had happened. I have not reinstalled the trigger yet, but what is this little piece of metal for?

Do you have a picture of the trigger and trigger spring. I know what this looks like to me, but I want to see the other parts before I say anything.
Here is a picture of the trigger and spring. I thought the same thing as you because of the little bend. But, I seem to remember when I installed the trigger looking at the hole in the end of the hammer and seeing a little piece of metal shoved in there for some reason.

its the J pin. It goes in the hole located at the bottom of the hammer. Push it iback nside the hammer. It keeps the trigger pin from walking out. Ever hammer has one 2 stage or standard.
Assuming the bend in it contributes to it being retsined in the hammer and it continues to fall out, consider giving it a touch more bend.

Please contact RRA Customer Service at 866-980-7625. We would need (at least) the hammer and j-wire (technical might prefer the entire lower half so we can test it together).

Can I just push it in...or will it keep falling out?
It isn't normally just pushed in...it's seated and kinda staked/crimped in place. If it has come out, it likely will again.
