How long has the CQB pistol been in production?

I was hoping to get you an exact date on Monday, but to answer your question, yup, we had been making them for awhile in 2002

Thanks so much. I guess it seems like an odd request, but I'm writing a novel. The main character in the story is a former Navy SEAL who was raised by his wealthy grandmother. She was so proud of him and his 25 classmates graduating BUD/S, she bought them the best handguns she could find, matching Wilson CQB pistols with BUD/S CLASS 2xx engraved on the slides. His graduation looks like it is going to be set sometime in 2002.
As a gun nut, nothing makes me lose interest in a novel faster than when a writer gets something about firearms glaringly wrong. At the very least it is distracting ( Somebody should tell Stephen Hunter that no Marine would zero their Barrett at ONE MILE.)
Theres no guarantee that it will ever get published, but it keeps me from watching lame television
. Besides, it gives me an excuse to be on ar15.com. "No Honey, really, I'm researching for the book."
