Pinning the Grip Safety?
Hey how hard is it to pin the grip safety on a 1911? What would Wilson charge to do it? I have two Elites (Tactical and Professional) that I would like to have pinned in the ready to fire position. Thanks
Katman,
I hope you understand, but WC cannot disable any safety device because of liability issues. If you are having problems disengaging your grip safety when using your WC 1911, give customer service a call, and we can take a look at your pistol for you. You should not have a problem with this, and we will be happy to help.
Yeah I have two Elites. (Professional and Tactical) and both you have to have the grip safety pressed all the way in...My hands arent super meaty and I have to have my grip perfect or it locks up on me.
That's some old school work. I haven't heard of that since Ed Brown came out with the Memory Bump on the grip safety...I think that's who i first saw the solution from. I don't blame WC for not wanting to take on work like that.
