9mm ETM magazine not working in all 1911's?

I have three 9mm 1911's..........I decided to give one of the Wilson Combat 9mm ETM magazines a try........even though I think it's a bit pricey............

It only wants to work in one of my 1911's.............In the other two it feels like the top of the magazine is dragging on the slide........? One of the models it won't work in is a Caspian Commander.......the Other is a Springfield Armory GI frame with an Essex slide...........both pistols feel like the slide is dragging on the top of the magazine..............

The only pistol it does work in is a Caspian Recon frame.....with an Essex enhanced slide..........and boy does this thing work.........I have fired about 300 rounds through this puppy with out a single failure to feed.........Hollow points.......ball, lead, this magazine runs flawlessly in this pistol...........has anybody else had this problem with this magazine...........up until this magazine......the only other mags I have are Metalform and Mec-gar and they work in all my pistols............

any insight would be apprecieated

I've only used them with my Wilson CQB and all 3 have been perfect.

The ETM magazine is optimized for feeding and as such sits higher in the frame than other old-style magazines. Check and see where the binding is, my guess is that it is at the underside of the ejector or on the top left rear of the feed lips.

I marked the feed lips with a Sharpie and inserted the magazine in the Caspian Commander and racked the slide.........It appears the slide is hitting the magazine in the forward right side of the feed lips............

6mmAR15,
The problem is that you have 3 pistols that hold the mag at different heights in the frame. You could attack this issue with comparing the mag catch's from each gun....the gun that works with the ETM mag is holding the mag slightly lower in the frame. You could look at working to get this consistent in all 3 1911's first, then adjusting the mag if needed.
