3x compact on a 308

Whys your opinion of putting a 3x compact on an ar10. Building a hog gun and think this scope would be ideal. Would you stand behind the scope on a 308??

It can handle it just fine. You will have to run the numbers on the BDC for a .308

Does that 3x come with a ballistic chart for different calibers? is that what you mean by running it by a bdc chart?

Here is the dope on the reticle. You will need ballistics calculator. Several for the iPhone to plot your particular round. Might have to adjust the zero distance to get the BDC to work.

I know I'm late to the party with this thread, but I've been thinking about what optic to put on my Fal. Seeing Marshall's picture above made the decision for me. I already have two 3x scopes on my AR15's and I'm sure I'm going to enjoy having one on my Fal.
