How about an option for uppers to be shipped unassembled, like your lower build kits, so we can put them together ourselves and not have to endure your 15 business day wait times?
I would prefer this too, not just for the time, but building rifles is an enjoyable hobby
You end up paying almost 150 more by purchasing all the parts individually, plus trying to buy all of it at once would be a nightmare with stocking shortages. OP has a good idea here
15 days isn't too long to wait for a built upper, that has been test fired so you know it will work.
I would not expect them to help much if you order un-built upper and then you have issues with it running.
I would just deal with the 15 days.......actually I already have....and it was well worth the wait.

If you can assemble a lower and it passes a function test, then building an upper is actually easier to do, and you should have no problem.
Having said that, I think I've heard of other companies with kits that have done this, but I can't speak for PSA.
Building an AR yourself is DEFINITELY the most expensive way to go about it. My last build costed me about 2400 with optic, Obviously I could have bought a pre built NAME BRAND for that cost but then I couldn't say I built it lol, and the quality of the parts I used couldn't be bought in ONE name brand rifle.
My point is yea it'll cost 150 more to build a PSA upper, but if this is the only way to do it, and you really want to build it, what's the 150 bucks? And you'd have the ability to build the upper right off the bat EXACTLT how YOU want it.
