I have a question about the upper on PSA's website that is listed as "PSA 20" Heavy CL Upper." The website says it has a heavy profile barrel. Exactly what type of barrel is this? Is it a HBAR profile? I have just never heard of anybody selling a heavy barrel that is 1/7 and chrome lined. All the barrels I've seen with those features are gov't profile.
Is it true that the only gov't-profile 20" CL barreled upper PSA sells is now the PSA 20" Hammer Forged CL MP A4 upper, with the double-thick chrome lining and all that?
Until a few months ago, I noticed PSA had a 20" CL gov't-profile barreled upper with just the plain chrome lining. It seems to have been replaced by the one with the heavy barrel.
I am interested in a 20" CL gov't profile upper, but don't feel the benefit of the double thick chroming is worth paying $80 more for. Are there any plans to continue selling the plain CL uppers in gov't-profile?
I recently purchased the complete upper 2 weeks ago, it is heavy barell for sure 10 lbs when mated to lower. This is a wilson barell i believe 4150 steel if remember correctly, but the best part is accurate beyond any other ar i had before. There is nothing more beautiful than a full grown 20 inch AR, Im no expert shooter just play around with it for fun but this gun with a scope i was getting 1/2 to 1 inch moa after 100 rounds breaking in time but i get some flyers too because of me though. I would say this a great shooter and worth every dollar i paid hope this helps, Thanks PSA great gun!!!!

Thanks for the info, airwaves. I would still like some input from PSA on whether they are going to make another 20" CL Gov't-profile version available that doesn't have the "machine gun steel" barrel.
We are expecting a lighter weight 20" this week that has the government-style profile.
