 DPMS do you use loctite on castle nuts during assembly?

I don't see that it has been staked at all but sure is a b!tch to get off. Will try a heat gun this weekend.

Yes, a small amount is used on the castle nut. Once you hit it with heat, it will come off easily.

Man I learned this the hard way, One broken wrench, and chewed up castle nut later........................

Still waiting for a castle nut to get back in stock at my dealer.

Nothing a hand file, sand paper and a little home brew park wouldn't fix.

Is the wrench the cheep single tooth type or a nice 3 tooth multi-tool?

Red or Blue loctite? I assume red if you're advising heat?
