Has anyone used a Yankee Hill Machine Forend with an AA kit?

I'm looking at the Midwest Industry MCTAR 20P. It is made for Piston kits. I was wondering if the YHM Diamond needs modifying to use a piston kit with it? Has anyone used any YHM free Floats with out modifying?

YHM free float tubes will not work without extensive modifications. basically cutting out the entire top section.
