I plan to install a Adams system on a 14.5 barrel. The barrel is stripped and I plan to go with the Samson extended rail for carbines. My question is seeing the Samson rail does away with the g.i. handgard front plate and seeing as there has been no A2 front sight on this barrel, How do I know when the Adams gas block is over the barrels gas port hole?

There should be a shoulder on the barrel for you to reference the .015 - .025 gap you'll need for the gas block.
