best irons to go with this system?

I am going to be piecing together my piston AR and know for a fact the upper will be an Adams Arms 5.56 Complete 16\" Tactical Piston Upper.
the plan is to have a platform that I can shoot either irons, or optics just as reliably.

I am curious as to what you guys recommend as far as irons that can be used reliably without re-zeroing every so often... do the BUIS systems hold zero reliably or are they prone to needing adjustment?

and on another note, are there any particular fully assembled lowers that tend to have a better fit/function with the AA system?

ETA: just found the Daniel Defense fixed sight combo... do these systems interfere with an optic like either Aimpoint or Eotec?

I use Troy on a couple builds as well and they are great. If you don't need flip up, Daniel Defense are great. I did a set on a buddies and I really like how low profile (width) the FSB is and both front and back are really solid. Another plus point is that they don't cost an arm and a leg so they're a hell of a bargain, so I'll be buying some in the future for sure.

I use Sampson Manufacturing. They are spring loaded and pop up into position, rock solid.

I used the POF front sight and a MI in the rear don't much like the POF sight as it causes me to center the circles not the blade. but i have some larue marked troys on order.

Right now I have a Magpul rear BUIS and the Daniel Defense front sight. After I get the last few big pieces (red dot, tactical comp, stuff like that) I plan to upgrade to Troy sights. I've heard great things about them so I want to give them a shot but so far in the practice "drills" I have done, my Magpul/DD combo works just fine for a fraction of the price.

Problem with Troy, is that they have nylon bushing in them and if you get it hot enough you melt it, and guess what you now have a fixed sight if you had it in the up position. if down its useless. I like the Troy sight, good products all around. Pri flip up front sight does not have any plastic/ nylon so they are gtg on a gas block which gets hot. I am running the DD fixed front sight and the price is right and its good kit.

sweet.

do any front flips ups work with a carry handle setup designed for the rail system? (dunno why the hell I like the look of it).

For front sights you just have to get one sized for a rail. Most gas block sights are too long for a piston gas block. The Yannkee Hill one here is called Forearm height. It will work with any rear iron sight.

Samson's don't have any plastic. and the make two differnt height's. Rail mount and gas block.

You want the rail mount front sight for the Adam's Arms kit.

Have you zeroed that yet? I understood the GB FS to be too high. You needed the same plane. I hope I didn't screw up. I haven't zeroed it. but I've done several guns and normal GB (that I have used) were lower than the plane of the receiver. Just asking.

Zeroing went fine, In my pic I said gas block ..its the Yankee Hill forearm height (short height)...they are on the same plane. Their gas block one woud be too high since it was built for a DI gas block.

Ok, good to know I have the right one.

These are pretty stout FS's.

Troy said it would be fine if you used their front sight on a piston gas block. I don't see any nylon bushings on my Troy HK-style front flip sight.

I'm using an MI on the front and a MAtech for the rear. I do like the Troy front sight MUCH more, but I didn't want to shell out the extra $40 for it. I really like the MAtech rear sight though. They're relatively cheap on eBay and it's nice to be able to adjust for distances easier.
