New Colt bolt rifle in .308
This Colt bolt rifle in .308 was on display at the NRA convention in St Louis:
For what it's worth I overheard part of a conversation where a Colt rep said they are building 30 of them now.
The Colt rep I spoke to showed me a photo on his iPhone of a 5 shot group using Blackhills 175 grain .308, I don't remember the group size exactly and I don't want to just make something up, it was tight though.
Hard to see but that looks like it has the Colt Competition logo on the side. Means it's a licensed gun if it's like the 3-gun ones. Presumably a better use of license than the rimfire stuff though.
Cool, another Rem 700

So by proxy, I guess we should say, "Cool, another gewehr 98!"
Not a Remington 700. Cooper action, Timney trigger, Surefire brake, Colt chassis.

$4,000 for .308 is a bit much IMHO. I would rather take an OBR with glass. I dont know much about making rifles, but I would think a bolt action would be cheaper then a semi auto.

Fail. Cuz Winchester Mod 70s more closely resemble Mausers.
Remington only came out with a Model 798 a few years a got or so...but still not a 700.
