I just received a stock colt replacement firing pin for my ar. According to the packaging and model number the firing pin is identical for both a .223 Colt ar-15 and the .308 Ar-10 or .308 chambered AR colt model. Does this sound correct?

THe FP looks basically the same however there is a portion that I think appears a little bit wider in diameter than the pin I have been using all these years. I havent had a chance to get them in a mircrometer to find out.

Is this the correct part for my Match HBAR?

Thanks as usual fellas.

The FP in your link is the current type same as on my Colt three carbines and one rifle, all in M16 auto BCG.

The very old first version from 1963 and older had thicker back end, see pics in this ref. thread.
