18" SPR AMMO
So I have a Spikes 18" barrel on the way. Whats been working for ammo out these barrels. There chambered in .223 wylde correct.
Looking for accuracy 100-300 yds. so Will be doing handloads as well. Just lookin for a starting point.
Also need a comp looking at jp or dynacomp ,vortex,ranier.
I found 69 grain match hollow points work best out of my 1-8 twist SPR barrel.

If anyone has handloads at all . currently using varget and TAC so if any recipes.
Barrel came Thursday. Still haven't ordered a comp. So I will use my vortex for now. Still want to decide on the silver dynacomp or a rainer or jp comp. Looked for some 77g ammo but out of stock locally. Just have some 60g I run on my other SPR

Shot it today. I am going to need to do some more testing. I had a YHM comp and i sighted in the scope and had a .5 5 shot group with 55g fmj handloads
I then swaped the comp to a rainer xtreme comp and the groups doubled.
