Putting my ACR on consignment.
How much do you think would be fair to ask for a basic black ACR on consignment at a local shop? I've only shot about 600 rounds through it. So it still basically looks new. I am just thinning the herd and only want what I need and am going to sell that and another rifle and put the cash in the bank. I looked online and can't really find any used... or maybe I'm just blind. Any help would be appreciated!
First of all they are over priced to start with, They have all been recalled.Slam fires, get what ever you can out of it and move on.

The fact that you don't see a lot of used ones means folks tend to keep them. How fast are you looking to move it? What's the local market for new ones? Does the shop have any on the shelf? If the shop has a new one hanging on the wall for $2000, list your used one for $1850 and it would move because it's the better deal.
CTD has new basic ACRs for $1755. I imagine I would start a used ACR online for $1700 and drop the price $50 on two/three week intervals until it sold or I hit my bottom limit.

Thank you Sir!
There is a rumor floating around that BM may lower the MSRP at the SHOT show (don't know how true it is).
A few of the guys here have also seen them on sale as low as $1500 to $1600 NIB if you hunt around.
If you do put it up for sale I would do it sooner rather than later so the value doesn't drop further.
A private local sale will always net you more money.
Like someone said, it's a telling sign when you so rarely see a certain model of gun for sale used.
Find your local gun forums and put up classified ads, in addition to listing it on Armslist (exactly like craigslist but for guns).
nvm
I sold mine......
Unless BM can reduce the weight, and make some improvements, I won't be buying another..

I'm sitting on mine still waiting for the short barrels that were made back in October before all the personnel, downsizing and recall issues popped up.
The 10.5" and 16" ,1 in 7" , LW barrels looked pretty good. Shame they have not put them on the market. I know they were made because I saw the pics of them.
Not sure what you guys are talking about with not seeing used ones sold...
I see used ones sold frequently on gunbroker.

There were three at the last show here.

It's not too heavy when you lop off 4" of barrel. My ACR has been absolutely perfect...
So....... How much where they asking for those used ACR's..??? I believe thats the information OP was asking for...
$1700.00 to $2000.00 for the three I saw.
Got to fondle handle a SCAR H. DAMN, that rifle makes the ACR feel like a boat anchor. It balances so beautifully. It really does feel like a much lighter rifle....Not that I would be purchasing one, due to the fact it isn't easy obtaining parts from FN, and I never did care too much for the SCAR stock. Anyhow, the SCAR H was priced at $2600.00
according to the new 2011 catalog the acr just dropped in price, so sell it now if you want a good return
Just saw one go unbid at $1500
