 Recon bikini scope cover

What size is the objective and eyepiece so I can source a set or make a set?

I figure a backstory is necessary.

So I'm at the range today, and a nice little mini haboob blows through and knocks my Recon off the bench, landing on the concrete. A testament to the solid Vortex construction, the scope is fine, a little sandy. The flip open cover however, did not fare as well and the lens cover broke at the hinge. I know I can pick up a new flip cover for 8 bucks, but I think I'd like a set of bikini covers instead and Vortex doesn't offer one. The alternative would be some Butler Creek covers, in my experience they're a little beefier, if someone has the part numbers.

The objective OD is 60mm, which is #44 in the Butler Creek line. The eyepiece depends on which model you have. If it's the reticle eyepiece that has the rubber flip down eye-cup are you going to put the cover over the eye-cup or remove the eye-cup? If you keep the eye-cup on and just flip it down it looks like it's about 43mm. If you remove the eye-cup the metal underneath is 35.8mm.

If you have the non-reticle style recon it has the twist up and down eye-cup, which can't be removed. In that case the eye-cup is 42mm.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Sam! Kudos on the build quality, a 4 foot drop to concrete is pretty tough on any optic and it's still kickin'!

No problem. Glad to hear it's still working good!
