SPARC and LT-649 Tall Not lining up

Question as how to get the SPARC to line up with the LT-649 Tall.

Have a VMX3 in the LT-649Tall, and it lines up with my Eotech 517 just fine as 1/3rd co-witness with irons.

However, used with the SPARC on the high mount + shims, the SPARC is still lower than the magnifier. That is to say, the center lines are not anywhere near lined up.

Should I be using the high mount + shims + low mount in order to get the magnifier to line up with the SPARC?

I don't think you can use the low mount and high mount together. The only thing that I think might work is using another shim. However, you would need longer mount screws in order for that to work.

Are you able to measure the difference in height?

I'm not able to measure the difference precisely, but if I had to guess, I'd say we're looking at around 1 shim height difference.

Would mounting the SPARC on the high mount + 2 shims present with any stability problems?

and if not, would you guys be able to send me an extra shim with some longer screws?

I don't think it would cause stability problems, but I haven't tested it, so I can't say for sure. I can send you another shim, but we don't have screws that long unfortunately. When we designed it we didn't intend it to be used with two shims, so the longest we have will only work with one shim.

The long screw we have is M3.0 x 0.5 and 7mm long. You might want to check a local hardware store to see if they have them in a longer size, otherwise I know this place has them: http://www.boltdepot.com/product.aspx?cc=25&cs=83&cm=71&cd=1782
