Trading out the collapsible stock, is the M-15 Lower Mil-Spec on ext, buffer and everything else or do I need to purchase a kit?

The M15 receiver extension tube for the collapsible buttstock is what is considered to be mil-spec.

Yes it's mil-spec. Below is the information in this forum under "ArmaLite Technical Spec Information".
