My M-15 bolt catch not engaging the mag follower?
I recently started using 20rd pmags and the bolt catch isn't holding open on the last round due to it not being able to reach the follower.
Has anybody else had these same issues with their armalite?
Did you build the lower yourself? I had the same issue with USGI mags because I installed the disconnector spring in place of the bolt catch spring. Once I switched them around, all was well.
ETA: I was using a stripped ArmaLite lower and an ArmaLite LPK.
No, I purchased it as a complete rifle.
I have had this problem as well with the 20rd PMags, but not with the 30rd. I have two different Armalite rifles (20" purchased complete, 16" built-up with stripped lower) and it seems to happen in both rifles. Additionally the 20-rnd mags are tight in the magwell and don't drop free.
I need to go to the range and play a bit more to figure out exactly what is going on...
