Considering POF 223 upper. Issues? Reliability?

Currently have a 16" 6.8 w/AA gas piston. Shoots great, but I'd like to try a 223 piston upper as well. 223 ammo is a little bit cheaper.
How reliable are the pof piston uppers? Anybody have any initial problems at first? FTF ect?
BC and bolt included?
Rail seems to sit really high. Is it problematic?

I'd like to have a 14" or shorter barrel , but doesn't that require a $200 SBR stamp? Is it a complicated time consuming process to complete?

Anything else you can contribute would be greatly appreciated.

It's either this upper or the more expensive Zeiss Diavari FL 4-16X50 for my 300WM. I can't decide.

we do a 14.5" with a permenantly attached muzzle break, brings it just past 16" and that means no tax stamp needed. you could go the NFA SBR route, but you need to register a receiver first. take a 4+ months. check the NFA forum for current wait times.

Yes, BCG is included. the come complete ready to put on a lower. the rail adds about 1/2" of height. there are lower flip up sights you can get, or use an optic and mount it as low as you can put it. I have a accupoint on a POF predator rail and it is almost on the rail, can not even mount a flip up on the front, but the height is great.
