Any of you POF 308 owners have any load recipes for their rifles? I will be loading Winchester and Federal match brass....

I have already ordered CCI BR2 large rifle primers. What powder and OAL are you using? I was thinking of using Sierra Matchking 168gr and 175gr bullets...

TIA!

I got one......ditch the Federal brass.
You'll be losing primers before you even fire a round.
I've only got one load out of Fed 223 match brass before primers wouldn't stay in on half of them.
My buddy found out the hard way at a big 3-gun match. He got some once fired FEd 308 brass cheap and he lost primers during a stage and powder jammed up everything.
So FED brass= proceed with caution.

I have numerous loads made up for my P-308, not a big secret though just pick up a copy of Hornady's or Nosler Reloading manual and there are tons of recommended loads and powders for each bullet type.

I usually run Hornady A-Max 168 gr. bullets with 41.7 gr Varget powder in Lake City Brass and CCI Primers. Right at 2,500 FPS and Amazing accuracy through my 20" POF P-308.

Subsonic rounds I go with Lapua Subsonic 200 gr. bullets, 10 gr. of Trail Boss powder in LC Brass with enlarged flash hole and magnum primers. YHM Phantom suppressed P-308 is whisper quiet and still sub MOA at 250 yds. (That one's not in the previously mentioned manuals)

Don't get upset if not many people start spilling thier load data here, A LOT of people don't share that information publicly because there is an issue of liability. Not sure where or how it all started, maybe someone got sued for a round they spec'd blowing up someone elses rifle. It would be interesting to know if someone out there has the story or if it's just being prudent in today's screwed up society.
