Replacement barrel

I have my POF for years now and I will say it over and over again it is by far my best investment in any upper after 12k rounds its still ticking! but now im thining a little ahead on what is recommended on barrel replacement I didnt see any on the site. Also i have the Carbine gas system now would it be a good time to change to the midlength system and will the new rails fit the old rail components?
