 308 Lower Issues--Triggers

Went to assemble a NP3 coated lower the other day for my Dad and found out the Jewel trigger will not work in the lower.
Tried a Giessele match thingy and that would not work either.
Looks like the trigger is hitting the back of the cut in the lower where the trigger sticks through so there isn't enough travel to allow function.
I guess these things are meant to work with a limited number of trigger groups.

timney and giessele along with mil-spec are the triggers we instal at the factory. I have also installed a JP trigger in one of mine. have never had a problem. are you having a problem getting it in? as another poster asked, is the safety selector already in? with some triggers, you need to remove the selector to instal/remove a trigger. Feel free to send me an email or IM.

I was able to install both systems in the lower and there are actually two lowers from the same group purchased from Brownells that have this issue.
Specifically the Jewel(with the overtravel screw not interfering) would cock the hammer and when you release it would be stopped by interference between the hammer and trigger and no go forward completely or with force. I thought it was just the screwy Jewel design that was the problem and took it out to try another.
The Geissele would not allow the hammer to catch on the trigger at all. That's when I took a close look and saw the trigger hitting the rearward edge of the cut in the lower.
I forgot to say that both triggers came out of other lowers and were working fine.
The Geissele came out of a DPMS 308 lower.
I don't think I had a safety in at time of install.
I do have a Timney 223 trigger but did not try to install.
Right now both lowers have modded military triggers working properly by my standards.
We've fired one of the lowers successfully except for the crappy 10rd DPMS mags not feeding all the time.
Still waiting to try the second lower.
From what I'm hearing they should work with all triggers.
I have the ability to make the cut in the lower longer if we have problems with the modded militry triggers not being good enough. I don't think it would take much to fix.

Thanks,

UpDate: talked to Frank at the DPMS Tri-Gun Challenge and he personally made sure I was happy with his product.
Very impressed!
