Nice! This is going to be a very newbie question because well i'm a newbit. Just got into the ar15's about a month and half ago.
I noticed that you didn't use the charging handle that one time during that video. Do you have to use it all the time?

if the bolt is locked back you can use the bolt release on the left or right side.....the magazines also will trigger the bolt hold open when emptied.
