I ask the question below in blades forum, in the Zero Tolerance 360.skd thread that had already been started a few days ago, but no replies.
Hoping to get a few replies here in the SKD forum before I decide on ordering a ZT360 or ZT350.
Can anyone who has one of the SKD ZT360's tell me if the blade/spine is thinner towards the tip of the ZT360 than the ZT350's ? I like the shape better than the ZT350, but wouldn't want to give up the strength of the 350's tip and spine.
Thanks in advance for any additional information.
So it’s a little tough to tell with these photos (camera phone- sorry!), but the 0350 has a bump that increases in thickness at the very tip,
which was removed with recontouring of the 0360.skd’s blade.
Since both blades start off with the same blank, the thickest portion of the spines are still the same thickness for everywhere but the very tip.
The 0350 spine tapers to a thinner width in the middle portion of the blade, making it less suitable for hammering when trying to drive the
blade through wood for cuts or notches (the 0350 pictured is new, the 0360.skd is used and looks like there may have been some hammering
done on the back of the blade).
Hope that helps show the differences you were wondering about? Thanks for asking!

Thanks p_w, that helps. The 360 sure looks like a better stabber than the 350.

That is a better way to say it !!!
I went from a 300 to the 360 and couldn't be happier. You won't be dissapointed.
