Length of a CMMG 6.5" 22 LR barrel past the front of the upper receiver

I am going to put a 6.5" barrel on one of my 22 ARs. Can anyone tell me how far it sticks out past the front of the receiver? I want to see if I can match the forend to the barrel + muzzle brake length.

Hum. I do remember Spikes offering a 16" M4 profile barrel that had the same length as a 14.5" barrel (i.e. 1.5" fit on the inside of the receiver. 16-1.5=14.5) Both guns use the same bolt type too. So I am going to go with 5". Of course I could be wrong.

So if I have it correct, at 5.5 " to the end of the threads and .4" of threads, that gives me about 5.1" of barrel. With YHM listing a carbine forend at 7.2" that should give me approximately 2" of muzzle device under the forend.

Kinda hard to argue with a picture of a ruler held up against the receiver You were probably thinking of the end of the muzzle device instead of the end of the threads.

That's part of the reason I was asking. At least one of the 22 conversion manufacturers has a setup where the conversion puts the barrel back an inch and a half or so. I guess it's not a huge issue. I should have the 6.5 barrel soon, and I'll see how it fits.

It's roughly 5". About 1.5" is inside the receiver. Now if you want an exact measurement, you might contact CMMG.

I've got the barrel now. It appears to be almost exactly 5". I've got to wait a couple of weeks before I get the muzzle device and can assemble it, but it should work pretty well.
