I just got done putting together a new 300BLK upper and when I went to install the flash hider, found out the threads must be off. Either they are off or both of my 5/8X24 AAC FH's are messed up. I really doubt that's the case since I have used well over a dozen AAC muzzle devices w/o issue in the past. I am really not happy about the fact that I may have to do everything a second time or the fact that I had planned a range day tomorrow to try out this new build! Anyone else have this issue? Thanks.

I use mine with a suppressor, so my threads are fine. Did you contact CMMG?

I will be using a SDN-6, but I can't mount it w/o the AAC mount. I did a search and it look like this is a issue that has happened before. Yes, I sent an email earlier and also contacted Midway USA in case I need to return it to them. Thanks for the help.

I know they had a batch of .22 6.5" barrels with non concentric threads a couple months ago. When discovered, they scraped the barrels and had new ones cut for customers that had the bad ones. That's why I asked if you contacted them.

CMMG was very nice and offered to take a look, but I beat them to the punch. I ran it in to a local barrel threader and he cleaned up the threads. It turned out to be a burr that was causing the issue. All is well and the barrel looks great!
