When did CMMG switch to 1/9 twist?
Weren't the original 14.7 barrels 1/7?
I didn't know they switched. Where did you find that?

ya know, I was looking at the LE series.

Even that surprises me. I goes it's because most L.E. uses 55 gr. for duty ammo. At least the ones I was associated with did.

1:7" can go as high as 90 grain but I haven't seen much call for that anywhere I've been.
1:9" puts the 55 grain more "Mid Range" for useful ammo...
I don't want to get into a 1-7 vrs 1-9 discussion, that one has been beat to death.
