If you guys will email me we'll put you on the reserve/contact list for the G2X, 6PX, G2X Pro & 6PX Pro lights as well as send you pricing... they're already on order and the anticipated release is October.

Thanks,

Would the regular G2 holster fit the G2X Tactical?

I won't be able to confirm until they're in but I would expect so.

Tell me it isn't so.

The pro model first comes on in low mode, then you have to turn it off and click again to get to high?

If that is the case then put me down for the 6PX Tactical instead of the Pro.

Thanks.

We're already checking on this... will confirm asap on the Pro's activation method.

Folks, the activation method of the dual output G2X Pro & 6PX Pro models are as follows:

- First activation is always low output (15 lumens) then turn off and reactivate within two seconds to activate high output (200 lumens); it is a clicky tailcap.

The std. G2X Tactical & 6PX Tactical are single output 200 lumen lights with a basic momentary pushbutton tailcap / twist for constant on.

Thanks,
Kevin

Yes, indeed.

I just checked out a 6PX Pro at Modern Day Marine last week in Quantico. The "look" takes some getting used to, but it seems like a nice light. The Surefire rep claims it's still manufactured in the US despite the lower price. It definitely comes on 15 lumens first, then 200 lumens; so three clicks to get to 200 lumens.

Hmm, I guess they haven't gotten the G2X in yet because I haven't gotten an e-mail.

Does the Z59 tailcap fit? I would like the pro model if the switch scheme was like the AZ2 were the level of lumen output depends on how far the push in on the tailcap.

The new lights are expected in this week... folks that state they've ordered are just in the system and their order will be processed as soon as the lights arrive.

The Pro models are a clicky tailcap already but low comes on first... to get high output you'll need to flash low mode on and then turn it off and back on within 2 seconds to activate high output mode.

Folks, they finally arrived yesterday and here's a quick review:

- Medium flood pattern so it's adequate for indoor application
- Excellent throw, capable of 100yds of good visibility if conditions are optimal
- Slightly warmer tint than some LED's which allows for better color perception
- Pretty nice feel but a bit front heavy on the G2X's
- The Z49 clicky tailcap was not compatible with the G2X but the Z59 did work.

I'll post pics asap.

Thanks,
Kevin

Hows the spot beam?

Does the Z59 fit well and snug or is it only partially compatible?

Got my G2X Tactical in the mail today. Man is it bright. Does every man end up shining a brand new flashlight into his own eyes?

Any chance you guys could take some pics of the beam at night or give a written comparison to a few other lights?

thanks

Here's a comparison to:
- SureFire E1L 35 lumen single mode model,
- SureFire E1B 80 lumen dual mode model,
- SureFire E2D body with TNVC TX4 head.

1.) My 6PX Tactical is visibly brighter than the E1L and also has significantly more spill. This is expected as the E1L is a TIR model and is lower output.

2.) My 6PX Tactical is slightly brighter than the E1B in the central hotspot, but has significantly more spill. Also this is to be expected as the E1B is a TIR model. I say slightly brighter hot spot, but bear in mind my E1B is prior to the 110 lumen rated model so mine might be way under-rated at 80 lumens and really may be around 110 lumens as SureFire now rates the E1B at 110 lumens. In any case the spill on the 6PX Tactical is significant compared to the E1B.

3.) My 6PX Tactical is slightly brighter than the E2D with TX4 head in the central hotspot. The TX4 in this case has noticeably more spill though, as this is what the TX4 is designed for, it is also around 600 lumens out the front, but most of that is useful spill, per design. The spill on the TX4 head is very large and bright. The central hot spot on the TX4 though has a slight dark hole in it as it is a 4-die model and that is why the 6PX Tactical is slightly brighter in the central hotspot. Just outside the central hotspot of the TX4, the 6PX Tactical and the TX4 head are about the same brightness.

Now consider that the 6PX Tactical is only around $54 street price (that's what I paid) and the E1L is around $100, the E1B is around $105-110 and the E2D + TX4 + M2E adapter is around $200 all street prices, I'd say the 6PX Tactical is a real steal and the G2PX Tactical is an even better deal at around $45 street price.
