Can you park a SS barrel?

I may send my palmetto state SS upper in for some contouring and/or chopping it to 14.7 and attaching my battle comp and was wondering if it could be parked also?

My understanding is that SS cannot be parkerized but it can be blued, bead blasted, or have a finishing such as melonite applied to give it a darkened look.

If I have to I'll paint the entire rifle, but I was hoping it was possible to park it.
