Will a BAD lever work on a Magpul/Arfcom billet lower?

Or does the raised fencing get in the way?

I ask because I'm used to having a BAD lever on my lower, and I wanted to get one of the magpul style arfcom billet lowers. Thing is, while the bolt release on the right side is great, it doesn't function as a bolt catch, thus making it a pain to lock the bolt back w/ malfunction drills and the like.

No it will not work with that lower.

I wish someone could make one or modify one...I too would like to have one on my AR15 lower that I use on my Mk12 build. Although you only need it to lock the bolt to the rear...already has the bolt release built into it...

I have a Magpul Series C lower and I made the BAD lever work with using a slight bend to clear the raised edge. It results in a shorter amount of the lever sticking through the trigger guard, but has worked great through many tactical rifle trainings. Give it a try, bend it slowly, put it on,adjust as needed.

What was your process of bending the BAD lever to make it work? And do you have a picture of the setup?

I bent it outward towards the bottom (prior to the 90 degree bend), then bent the portion that goes through the trigger area upward. I will try to post pictures. If I can't figure it out I will email to you.

Keep us posted. IF S&W does decide to sell stripped lowers then your info will be much needed!

Thanks much!

Now I wonder what S&W is going to charge for the receiver IF they sell them.

Doesn't look like it has any room to move cause it's right up on the fence. Can you get a pic of you holding the lever "up" as if you were going to lock the bolt back?

To me that looks like it is in the 'up' position. Look at the angle of the bolt catch.

The picture was taken with the bolt locked open. The lever is in the up position.
