 Mapul, why switching Hex types

Building a new rifle I have assembled parts for over 8 months, decided to put together tonight and got to my ACS UBR stock, and some of the Hex screws are SAE and others are Metric? Drove me nuts until I figured it all out. Got the first few metric ones off and then had to go dig for more tools (one near PG is metric, ones for cheek piece are SAE) can't remember what the battery cover ones were anymore. Why switch?

Stock looks great btw, just frustrating for a few minutes.

Edit to update, decided to play with it again and got SAE to work, not sure WTF happened the first go around.

We've actually never used metric hardware on any of our products. However, all the counterfeits on the market do...

What are you having to put together? I have two ACS stocks and have only needed to open the box, unwrap the plastic, and put them on... The only screw I messed with was when switching the butt pads, but the standard ones were installed out of the box...

First correction it was UBR not an ACS sorry for the confusion, yes the ACS needs no assembly. I picked the UBR up from AIM so I am not worried about it being counterfeit. Maybe the hex key is mis-sized a bit or worn etc. Looks good on the rifle, was just frustrating at the time.
