Hunting in the Everglades?

So I have never hunted, but I am feeling drawn to hog hunting. In the VA hometown forum someone mentioned the everglades. Any one ever done it and want to point me in the right direction.

I have some hunting peculiarities. I do not want a canned hunt. I want to hunt on foot, perhaps stalking. I don't want to hunt with dogs. All of that might might add up to me not getting anything, but it is what I consider hunting to be, ymmv.

I would love to get a group of my friends together for a long weekend hunting/ camping trip.

Any info you guys could impart would be welcome.

do thank ya for the invite.. & hope ya all have a good time.. what is a canned hunt? have gone on hunt's were i've eaten out of a can.. in the everglades is that were ya hit the higher grounds or u hunten the edges? canoe's are quiet & good method, also have used me little ol 10 horse mercury & had some luck.. put me glasses on thought thar was an invite but it said info.. have a good one..

Hunting all year round..

I would imagine hunting the everglades is pretty rough. If youve never hunted before, I would start somewhere else...maybe somewhere dry and without alligators and damn pythons Once you get some pig experience, then you might hit the everglades. Try some places in Georgia or Alabama, little closer for you. however, I dont know the regulations or good places there. Good luck goin after em!!
