Does anyone hunt with an AR15 pistol?

Does anyone hunt with an AR15 Pistol? If so what caliber and what length of barrel?

Yes. I use a 10.5" 5.56 with 60 gr jsp. Its not my gun of choice unless I am going into a thick cedar break. I also use it
for chasing wonded hogs at night.

llanogold, how does the YHM customizable work for you and the accessories?
I just started thinking about using a 7.62x39 pistol for doing what you are doing. Gonna have to look into that.

It works great. I use my pistol for chasing hogs in thick cedar, mostly at night. I tend to mount a lot of stuff on my guns
what you dont see on that one is my video camera mount or my green flashlight. This pistol weighs more than most of my other
AR's. I plan to build a 458 Socom pistol next with a rifle lenght MI handgaurd. I put one on my 6.8 build and I like it. I like 10.5"
Barrels on my pistols. In the 5.56 you loose 300 to 400 fps going from 10.5 down to 7" and the 7" is louder and has more flash.

I'm saving for a 10.5" upper.
