Not on the WMA you don't. No hunting at night. You'll have to buy a piece of land to do that. I have thought of it also, but don't have a lease or own hunting land ATM.

The other thing is, you'll need some good spotlights to gut the thing under after you shoot it if you plan to eat it.

be careful...I've been advised by a reputable NV dealer that the recoil imparted by a crossbow is not good for NV optics...

It would prolly work best if

A. you used an head mounted night vision device(s)
B. your red dot on your scope can work with night vision!

I like it!

Head mounted nvd and a ir laser for that application.

I was pondering putting a laser on my bow for the fun of it. Then I thought about the bow string catching some part of my helmet mounted PVS14 as I released in the heat of the moment. The mental visual wasnt good.

TNVC....I was thinking about something similar myself at one point and inquired about it. As stated above by others, my conclusion based on that advice was the same...that a head mounted NVD and a weapon mounted IR laser is the best way to go.

I can't imagine crossbow recoil is that bad.

My crossbow has a cheap bsa scope and uses rimfire 3/8" dovetail mounts.

It's held zero for three years now.

the one thinking about putten it on is a Jaguar 175-lb. cross-bow... have shot this cross-bow an like it, am sure their are mre sturdier ones, but tis one can afford... biggest problem i would have is getting the sting restrung, have trouble's getting my bow back, shoulder pop's like popcorn in popcorn maker... the cocking harnes would solve that problem... tis toss up of a Yukon @ ATN night vision scope, they the cheapest have found so far... 1st generation....
