Heading for Maine!!!

Looks like I'm headed for a Maine bear hunt this fall!!! Should be a good time, all bowhunters in camp!!!! Have bear hunted once in Ontario, and never been to Maine.....Can't wait to get there!!!!

I'm curious too.
Lots of bear way downEast, think Airline Road and Calais area, but I imagine the Jackman to Rangely and Eustis area is good too.

Outfitted hunt, no clue where this is....lol. Have a buddy that's been out with this guy twice before, really liked it.

aha! I know exactly where you mean now! That'll be wicked cool. You should check out Quaggy Jo and Haystack Mountain while you're up there.
If you go that way, (most likely) there is a little restaraunt on Rte 2 called "Grammys", just south of Houlton in Linneus, Maine. You must stop there. Bring an appetite and you can thank me later.

Im heading up that way also, sept 5-12 . Going to Patten maine. Near Baxter state park. Not sure what im taking yet. Either my .30-06, .270 or maybe my new S&W 460 mag 10.5 barrel.
Going to take my REM 722 .222 to knock out a few yotes hopefully!

Just got home from Maine tonight. While fly fishing on Nicatous Stream last Wednesday I heard something run out of the woods behind me, only to look back and see a black bear standing 20ft behind me. Wasn't a very big one, about the size of a normal black lab. He looked at me for a few seconds and took a sniff, then ran back into the woods. This is the first time I've ever seen a bear and was it was pretty cool to see him that close.
