The season before last my Redwing boots that I use for bird hunting got extremely wet a couple times due to a lot of standing water in the area I hunt. Now my boot's stink could scare a bull dog off a New York strip. Any way to fix that other than chucking out my boots? New boots are too expensive not to try and salvage a perfectly serviceable boot if possible. Thanks for any advice.
Liberal amounts of Fabreeze over several days should help to alleviate the odor issues. Ask me how I know.

Atsko "
Odor Oxidizer" is what you seek.
I have tried all the tricks - freezer, fabreeze, hydrogen peroxide, washing with oxyclean, and the odor oxidizer is by far the easiest and most effective solution.
(They) say you can put them in the freezer for a couple days and it will kill the bacteria..???
Some good ideas guys thanks. Not sure if I have room in my freezer, but that is an interesting one that might be worth trying.
