Coyote hunting in central VA
Currently stationed in central Virginia and looking for a decent spot where some buddies and I can find some coyotes. We have Amelia WMA not to far from the house and Powhatan is not that far either but the few times I've been out to Amelia its been dead quiet.
Any helpful tips would be greatly appreciated.
You will find them everywhere around here, some counties still have a bounty on them. I am not sure about Amelia or Powhatan. Unfortunately Cumberland, Prince Edward and Buckingham all dropped the bounty. Charlotte still had it last year but I dont know about this year. I have had pretty good luck in Prince Edward. Most farmers just want them gone and have no problem giving you permission to hunt them. Night hunts are the best around here.
