Rizzo camo help.
Would like to camo the fresh built varmint AR. What type of paint do you suggest? I know that I've seen it here before but my searchfoo is weak. Would like to old bowflange but I can't find it any longer. any input would be appreciated.
TIA

I use Krylon camo paint - 6 different colors to choose from and it holds up well. Sooner or later it wears a little but then you can just touch it up if needed. It's a super cheap way to do what needs to be done.
I've had firearms cerakoted before, as well, and it's extremely durable. More expensive, though.
I almost painted my AR with Krylon but I think I'll go with ceracoat because of the durability. Rather have it last longer than touching up everytime I drop it. Just my 2 cents.
Just thought I'd mention another option.
I wrapped my Noveske upper and franken lower in McNett's camo tape and applied krylon.

Thanks guys. I guess that I'll try the Krylon the next trip to the city.

Another good option for camo-wrap projects is using self-adhesive medical bandages from the pharmacy, often sold under the Coban name. You can color these to suit the land, and easily remove and reapply with no messy adhesives.

Camouflage tape works well if you don't want to paint your gun. Here is one of my hunters that
I taped up and it has done well in the field.

Nice. What stock is that?
