An Armadillo!!!!

I feel better now. Dang things are digging up my nice grass!

I saw it out of the kitchen window right in front of my rifle targets.
Grabbed the savage mk2.... I sent two rounds at it from 100 yards....too windy... Scooted up to 25yd and popped it.

I'll be out this evening and see how many I can get.

That is all.

I shoot at least one a week with my Browning 9mm Hi-Power.

It seems every time my wife takes the dogs out they are in the garden rooting things up.

If you really want to have a good time, get a Baby Browning Mouse gun in . 25 ACP and use 50 grain hollowpoints, it is a blast taking out da poor man's pigs with it!

They also make good coyote bait too!

Come on man - this is ARFCOM! You should know this already, but . . . . this thread is worthless without pics!

I need to come out to the midwest and whack an armadillo - I want to see how it looks after it's been through my beetles.

And my buddy's kid really wants an armadillo skeleton. In fact, not to thread hijack, but here's a funny story: So my buddy Stacy is in TX for business, and while he's there he finds a fresh roadkill armadillo. He calls me up, I say bring it on back, so he straps it to the roof of his car in a plastic bag. He gets all the way from TX and is around Flagstaff on the I-40, about an hour from home, and the thing flies off the roof! He didn't realize it until shortly afterwards, and then he couldn't figure out where he lost it. So I just picture this road crew worker or Highway Patrolman picking up this plastic bag on the side on the road in northern AZ and finding, of all things, an armadillo. What a trip!

You can come kill them all here. Dirty filthy bastages. Eating all the turkey and quail eggs. A public safety message. Don't touch one with your bare hands. They carry all kinds of nasty diseases and parasites. Also known to carry a form of leprosy. Not sure if it can transfer to humans but I am not going to find out.

Yes, they can. One of the few animals that can transmit leprosy to humans.

Good thing you're in MO, the armadillo is our state bird and shooting one is a felony offense!
